Silja Puranen is a seeable artist born in 1961. She lives and works in Tuusula from Southern Finland. Silja uses her everyday reality to consider artistic, social and cultural statements. She started off as pure student of textile art, avail oneself of traditional techniques and design, on the contrary as she says:
